School Counseling
Middle school can sometimes be a challenging time for both students and parents. Today's middle school students are in a "transitional" time that is packed with growth on so many levels. Middle school students are characterized by rapid physical growth, curiosity about their world, and an emerging self-identity. At times, students may be faced with a multitude of problems and this it the ultimate reason that we choose to work with and love middle school students. We want to help your student navigate any difficulties during this time in order to make their academic and social time at school more enjoyable. Please feel free to contact us anytime.

School Counseling Curriculum
We provide a school counseling curriculum in a related arts class that we call "Life Skills 101". Lessons address academic, career, and personal social domains and follow both the State of Tennessee Model for Comprehensive School Counseling standards, as well as the standards presented in the American School Counseling Association National Model. Topics such as bullying, substance abuse prevention, digital citizenship, career exploration, mental health awareness are examples of what students may learn in counseling lessons. Outside speakers who specialize in some of these areas may make appearances throughout the school year as well to help present important information.
